Rules on purchases, refunds and linked accounts

This translation is provided for information only; the Brazilian Portuguese version is the one that applies: Português

Official notice published on the forum in a pinned, read-only section. These rules take effect the moment the shop opens. Ignorance of these rules does not exempt anyone from their consequences.

1. Transfers between your own accounts

You may own and operate multiple accounts. Buying crystals on a secondary account and transferring them to your main account is allowed — the value belongs to whoever paid for it, and using it inside the game is your own responsibility.

Selling items on the market, gifting other players and making exchanges through the game's trade system are also allowed.

2. Refund after consumption — fraud

Requesting a refund for a purchase after having received and consumed the crystals constitutes fraud. The money goes back to your payment method, but the value stays in the game — this operation removes assets from the ecosystem with nothing in return, to the detriment of the whole community.

Fraud includes, without limitation:

  • Opening a payment dispute (chargeback) with your financial institution or card provider after the crystals have been delivered;
  • Requesting a refund on the grounds of non-delivery, having in fact received and used the crystals;
  • Transferring the crystals to another account and then requesting a refund of the original purchase.

3. Consequences of detected fraud

Detected fraud leads, automatically and irrevocably, to:

  1. Immediate cancellation of any crystals still pending delivery.
  2. Recording of a debt corresponding to the value of the crystals already delivered. As long as the debt remains, the account cannot make new purchases or access the market.
  3. Shop and market blocked. Access to the game remains available so that the situation can be put right.

If the dispute arises from a legitimate circumstance — a cloned card, a purchase made by a third party without authorization, a charge you do not recognize — contact the team before opening the dispute. A debt can be settled; an account blocked for fraud cannot.

4. Linked accounts and secondary accounts

4.1 Legitimate secondary accounts

Creating secondary accounts and moving crystals between them is allowed, as long as the accounts are genuinely operated by you.

4.2 Fraud through interposed accounts — buyer and seller are the same person

Using separate accounts to simulate commercial transactions between different players is forbidden. The following, for example, constitutes fraud:

  • Creating a secondary account, listing an item on the market and buying it with your main account, in order to transfer value between accounts;
  • Buying your own items on the market and then requesting a refund of the purchase, claiming an unauthorized transaction;
  • Any combination of accounts intended to transfer crystals or items between your own accounts while disguising it as a transaction between distinct players.

These patterns are detected automatically. When there is evidence that two or more accounts are operated by the same person for the purpose of fraud, all the accounts involved are blocked from purchases and the market, and the debt is recorded on each one of them.

4.3 Accounts sharing a connection — protection against false positives

Players who share the same network connection — at home, at a public venue (an internet café or LAN center) or through a mobile carrier using CGNAT — may have multiple accounts associated with the same IP address.

Sharing a connection is never, in itself, grounds for a sanction. No account is restricted on that fact alone, and there is no limit to the number of players who can play from the same network.

Restrictions only extend to other accounts on the same connection after fraud has been established on one of them — and even then, they are limited to blocking the shop and the market. Access to the game is preserved. This measure exists to stop someone who has just committed fraud from carrying on through an alternate account, not to punish whoever happened to be nearby.

When an IP address is shared by a significant number of distinct accounts — the typical case of an internet café or a mobile carrier — it stops being treated as a linking factor, and no extension takes place. We would rather let a guilty party through than punish an innocent one.

5. Trading on the market — protection for the good-faith buyer

Players who acquire items on the market from legitimate sellers, with no part in the fraud and no knowledge of it, are not penalized. The sanction reaches only the accounts involved in the fraudulent operation.

6. Scams between players

Every exchange carried out through the game's trade system is recorded on the server. In case of a scam — items not delivered, altered trades, agreements kept by only one side — open a support ticket stating the date, the names of the characters involved and a description of what happened. The server records make it possible to verify what was transferred.

Important:

  • No member of the team ever asks for your password, under any circumstances.
  • No trade is conducted outside the game's official system.
  • Arrangements made over chat, social media or any channel outside the game cannot be verified or reversed.

7. Monitoring and privacy

All sanction decisions are taken and applied exclusively on the server. The game client takes no part in the detection, the decision or the application of penalties. No file or running program on your device is collected, and no data from your device is used as grounds for a sanction. For sign-in security, we only keep a fingerprint (hash) of the device identifier, which serves to recognize a device already used on the account — never to punish.

For fraud prevention, we process: the IP address the server observes on your connections and the country deduced from it, the record of your transactions inside the game and, when you make a purchase, the data provided by the payment processor: an identifier of the payment method, the card brand, its last 4 digits and its country. That identifier does not contain your card number and does not make it possible to reconstruct it; it serves only to recognize that two purchases were made with the same payment method. This data is neither sold nor shared for any other purpose.
